‘Saigon - delicious vegetarian days’ is organized at the Crescent in Phu My Hung in District 7 on Wednesday and tomorrow for the first time.

‘Saigon - delicious vegetarian days’ is organized at the Crescent in Phu My Hung in District 7 on Wednesday and tomorrow for the first time.

The two-day event under the theme ‘for health and environment’ is jointly arranged by Phu My Hung Corporation and Vietnam Hy Ma Lap Son Co., Ltd with an aim to raise public awareness of environmental protection by reducing meat consumption, the second factor of the greenhouse effect.

The event, which is expected to welcome thousands of diners, features 50 delicious vegetarian dishes and nutritious food made from natural materials and free from chemical substances and preservatives and only priced from VND5,000 to VND40,000 each.

In particular, specialties of the three regions and other countries will be offered as well, including bun Hue (Hue noodle), bun mam (noodles with broth made of fermented fish), banh cuon (stuffed steamed rice wrapper rolls) and banh beo (rice cake) and pizza.

Besides, organizers will ensure guests are given useful material on vegetarian food, vegetarian cooking and popular vegetarian eateries.

Previous events are hosted at Ngan Long villas, Saigon Supermarket, the Centre Mall and the Nguyen Du Cultural and Sports Center. From now on the monthly activity is set to take place at The Crescent on the 1st, 14th, 15th and 30th days of the lunar calendar.
