A 100-kg dead tiger was found yesterday in a tourist bus that was stopped by police officers for speeding on National Road 1A in Thanh Trach Commune, Quang Binh Province.

Another unknown 60-kg animal whose skin had been peeled off, tortoise shells, unknown animal bones and seven fake car number plates were also seized.
Traffic police said they refused bribes from the bus driver and his companion, both from the central province of Nghe An.
The animal remains were allegedly being transported from Nghe An to Quang Tri Province for sale. —VNS
