The Danang City Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has decided to subsidise insurance fees for fishermen catching fish offshore.

Accordingly, from 2012, fishermen working on offshore fishing ships, with at least 50 CV power units, will be assisted with 100% of insurance fees at VND 64,000 per capita per year.
With this accident insurance, if fishermen are injured or dead at sea, compensation will be available to a maximum of VND 20 million.
The city has nearly 300 offshore fishing ships with power units larger than 50 CV, with some 3,000 labourers./.
