The Dak Lak team came out on top at the 7th National Sports Festival for Ethnic Minorities which closed in the central province of Quang Nam on July 25.
The champion won a set of 47 medals, including 26 golds, 12 silvers and 9 bronzes. Next in the rank of winners were the host Quang Nam and Gia Lai.
After five days of competition, the organising board delivered 166 sets of medals to the winners.
The festival, which had drawn the participation of more than 720 athletes from 37 ethnic minority groups in 17 cites and provinces in southern Vietnam, aimed to develop the sports and physical training movement to improve health and spiritual life, as well as preserving traditional cultural values and strengthening solidarity among ethnic minority groups.
