The five-day competition, themed “Da Nang – a new height”, is judged on air speed, flying to avoid obstacles, flying in formation and flying for rescue.
Shin Kake, Managing Director of Japanese company Airea, one of the event’s consultants, said the competition gathers experienced parachutists from around the world, providing visitors and local people with spectacular performances.
At DIPR 2012, visitors also have the chance to fly with international pilots.
