Costumes from 54 ethnic minority groups of Vietnam to be introduced

A fashion show introducing costumes of 54 ethnic minority groups of Vietnam is expected to take place in Hanoi this November.

The show is part of the project on “the First Performance of Traditional Costumes of People of different Ethnic Minority Groups in Vietnam” approved by Mr. Giang Seo Phu, Minister-Chairman of Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs.

Approximately 300 of the best contestants, selected from traditional costume shows at city and province levels this August and September 2011 will take part in the fashion show to be organised this November.

Contestants will have a chance to show their personal talents as well as showing a deep understanding about their culture via these shows.
