Costa Victoria brings thousands of passengers to Vietnam

HCMC – The luxury cruise ship Costa Victoria of Italian cruise line Costa Crociere S.p.A on Monday made its first port call in Vietnam with around 2,300 cruise passengers and crew members aboard.

Saigontourist Travel Service Co., which caters to the Italian partner’s ships when they visit Vietnam, said the Costa Victoria is cruising to the central city of Danang after visiting HCMC in a day for travelers to join tours in HCMC and the Mekong Delta city of My Tho.

She will arrive Danang tomorrow for these European visitors to visit the city and the neighboring provinces of Quang Nam and Thua Thien – Hue. The cruise ship will leave Vietnam on Friday after dropping in the northern city of Halong.

The Costa Victoria is a new vessel with up to 964 cabins, five restaurants, a two-storey theater, and a casino alongside many other entertainment services.

Saigontourist said that the cruise ship will come back to the country in November.

The local travel company has welcomed around 140,300 foreign cruise passengers and crew members in the first four months of this year.
