The coming Mid Autumn Festival will be celebrated at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi on September 10-12 with a feisty and colorful event titled “Color of the sea”.
The event will present to visitors and children the various customs and cultures of the littoral inhabitants of the northern and central coastal areas of Binh Thuan, Quang Ngai, Hai Trieu, Nam Dinh, Cam Xuyen and Ha Tinh.
Visitors will enjoy more than 20 traditional games, take part in making mid-autumn festival lanterns and cakes, mask painting, a lantern parade and kylin and dragon dances, water puppetry performances and children music shows.
A special tea making ceremony will also be organized for visitors by experts from the famous tea region of Tan Cuong-Thai Nguyen.
In addition, the organizers will offer 300 gifts to disadvantaged children in open houses, charity vocational training centers and the Central Children Hospital.
The event is being co-organized by the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and VTC 11- Kids TV, a TV channel for children.
