Seven people and tens of thousands of cattle in central provinces have died from cold weather as temperatures have dropped to 10-11 Celsius degrees.

The seven dead victims include an 80-year-old man, a two-month-old child and a 31-year-old woman and her newborn baby from Quang Nam province.
Tran Van Thanh, 44, his 13-year-old daughter from Quang Tri province, and Nguyen Cao Tang from Phu Yen died of carbon dioxide poisoning after they used heated coal to keep warm.
The freezing air in central provinces during the past few weeks has also killed tens of thousands of cows and buffalos.
From now until Tet, two more cold waves are forecast to hit the northern and central region, according to National Centre For Hydro – Meteorological Forecasting.
