Guests are advised to take Mac Dinh Chi Street then turn right to Tran Cao Van Street and notice a small alley on the right which is next to a big petrol station. Then, they should park their vehicles at the start of the alley and walk to a huge wooden house lying at the end.
The decorations inside the coffee shop remind guests of the past through obsolete wooden furniture from years ago that still are still marked, a large collection of sound machines deliver perfect melodies and many old-style typewriters.
Most people prefer the spacious first floor space to the humble ground floor where there’s a huge window collecting sunlight and overlooking the whole alley and a long book shelve serves as a wall containing many books and small antiques.
Average prices for drinks are VND30,000. Recommended treats are its specialty consisting of banana, honey and chocolate and various smoothies.
The cafe also offers a Mekong Delta style-lunch. Cliche cafe is located at Alley 20, Tran Cao Van Street, District 1, tel: 3822 0412.
