While flying Tran Van Quyen won the fourth stage of the Return to Countryside cycling race yesterday, HCM City's Tran Thanh Nhanh managed to keep hold of his yellow jersey lead.

Quyen, from Military Zone 7 team, lead the 126km stage from Cao Lanh City to Soc Trang City from the start.
The fourth stage was controlled by a breakaway group of several riders, including Quyen, Nguyen Ngoc Tuoi, Nguyen Luu Thanh Nhan and Nguyen Huynh Phu Loc, who built up a narrow-gap lead at the halfway point, before eventually being caught by the rest of the group 30km from the finish.
Quyen managed to cross the finish line in three hours 21.39 seconds, with an average speed of 37.491km per hour, ahead of Ho Huynh Van An from the An Giang Plant Protection 1 team and Nhan from the HCM City team who finished second and third, respectively.
The win helped Quyen obtain the green jersey and his Military Zone 7 team to hold on to their team category first place with a time of 27:22.37, 22sec faster than the An Giang Plant Protection 1 team, who ranked second, and the HCM City team, in third.
Despite Quyen's win, HCM City-based Nhanh managed to hold on to the yellow jersey with an accumulated time of 9:7.15.
Today's fifth stage sees the riders compete in a 72km run from Soc Trang City to Vi Thanh Town in Hau Giang Province. — VNS
