A charity joined by 7,400 people on Sunday in HCM City by Samsung raised more than VND1.78 billion (US$85,000) to build libraries for rural children.
HCM CITY —
The money will be handed over to the S.Korean company's "Thu Vien Thong Minh" (Smart Library) programme which provides books, modern electronics equipment, and library management software to rural schools in Viet Nam.
It also trains librarians and organises activities to promote the reading habit among students. — VNS
