Chinese boat crew rescued in Da Nang waters

Nhan Dan/VNA - The 26-member crew of the Chinese boat Jian Mao 9, which sank off the waters of Da Nang in central Vietnam on November 9, were brought ashore in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on November 11.

The lucky Chinese crewmen were rescued by the ship Nyk Aquarius sailing under the flag of Panama which was going from Senkou in China to the SP-PSA port in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The Nyk Aquarius handed over the Chinese crewmen on the evening of November 11 to the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Border Guard Command which provided accommodation for them.

The Border Guard Command and the provincial units in charge then handed over the crewmen to the Chinese Consulate in Vung Tau city on November 12 .
