(CPV) - An exhibition displaying children’s paintings and photos on transport safety was opened by the Centre of National Cultural Preservation Research and Promotion on October 30 in Hanoi.
Sixty paintings with the theme of transport by 50 children from five to fifteen years old and 50 photos on transport safety were displayed at the exhibition.
The displayed paintings were chosen from a painting contest for children with the theme “Transport culture” co-launched by Centre of National Cultural Preservation, Research and Promotion and the National Transportation Safety Committee from June - August, 2011.
The contest was not only a chance for children to show their painting talent but also contribute to improving their awareness of transport and have positive impacts on their parents and families when it comes to transport safety. Through paintings, viewers can more clearly see positive and negative sides of the type of transport culture in the life through the innocent eyes of children.
Over the past two years the Centre of National Cultural Preservation, Research and Promotion and the National Transportation Safety Committee, have carried out various projects on the transport culture through mass media and types of art in order to help decrease traffic accidents and make the communities’ life more peaceful and orderly.
