NovaLand Group is cooperating with HCMC Red Cross and HCMC Television Station to launch a charitable campaign ‘Let’s join hands for Vietnamese children’.
The group is calling for ordinary people, businesses and social organizations to help bring smiles to children with congenital heart disease, harelips and cleft lip and palate by donating money.
The campaign aired a program, which was broadcast live on HTV9 channel last night, and drew the participation of 25 companies and sponsors in the city. NovaLand Foundation, under NovaLand Group, donated over VND1.2 billion.
Every year in Vietnam there are more than 10,000 children born with congenital heart disease and half of those kids need to have surgery. However, the problem is most of the children are from poor families who can’t afford treatment. Bui Cao Nhat Quan, general director of NovaLand, said that the campaign is targeting generous donors who can help raise the money to ensure the children get the operations and medical attention they need. All money collected will be sent to Operation Smiles Vietnam and the cardiology department of Trieu An Hospital.
