They include the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank of Industry and Trade (VietinBank-CTG) and Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB).
Accordingly, Agribank is entrusted to disburse for part A-supporting Lao Cai City in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.
VietinBank is assigned to disburse for part B-supporting Phu Ly City in the northern province of Ha Nam.
Vietcombank will serve Part C-supporting Vinh City in the northern central province of Nghe An.
The governor assigned general directors of Agribank, Vietinbank and Vietcombank to be responsible for the implementation of relevant regulations to better serve this project.
“Medium-sized urban zones development project” aims to increase the access capacity to improved urban infrastructure services in cities of Lao Cai, Phu Ly and Vinh towards efficiency and sustainability.
The total loan of this project is $210 million from WB.
The project is part of WB’s support package worth $973.5 million for Vietnam.
VietinBank has launched a preferential program worth VND5 trillion for home loans from July 2 to December 31, 2012.
Joining the program, customers will enjoy the interest rate of 12 percent per year in preferential duration and the maximum lending will meet 70 percent of the demand of customers, may be up to VND25 billion per loan depending on area and localities.
For short term loans, VietinBank will offer maximum preferential interest rate of up to three months.
For medium and long term loans, customers will enjoy two months with preferential interest rate each year and the maximum duration to enjoy the preferential interest rate in the borrowing duration will be six months.
