As one of first international airlines presented in Vietnam since 1991, during the past 20 years, Cathay Pacific Airways has been becoming one of best service and safety airlines in this market.
On December 1991, Cathay Pacific explored the two way flights from Hong Kong to Vietnam. In October 1993, to fulfil the reliability from customers as well as the trade among Vietnam, Hong Kong and other countries, Cathay Pacific increased the flight up to 7 per week and seven years later, the number of flights reached to 14 per week.
For better passenger service, Cathay has just added six new civil airplanes to its facilities in the first half of this year and will add eight more aircraft by the end of the year.
In March, the company announced they had already added 27 new aircraft, including two Airbus A350-990s, 15 Airbus A330-300S and 10 Boeing 777-300ERs. In August, Cathay Pacific continues to buy four more transport aircraft Boeing 777-300ERs and 8 Boeing 777-200F ones. The development plan of the company is to have a new, modern, energy saving wide-body squadron by in the world by the year of 2019.
Cathay Pacific, whose head office is located in Hong Kong, has been utilising the flights to 140 destinations on over the world. Currently, Cathay Pacific has 128 wide-body airplanes specified for people and good transportation.
Skytrax, the well-known online ranking website in England, voted Cathay Pacific as the best five-star airline in successive years.
