HCMC – A Canadian firm has signed an investment commitment agreement with Vietnam’s Dai An Joint Stock Co. to develop a world-class hospital in the northern province of Hai Duong.
The deal was concluded in Canada’s Toronto last weekend when a business mission from Hai Duong Province, led by the province’s chairman, came there to promote Hai Duong as a destination for investment.
In the first phase the investors will spend an estimated US$160 million developing the 200-room hospital. Work on the project is expected to start by the first quarter of next year and the facility will be up and running in 2015.
The planned hospital in Dai An Industrial Zone will provide medical care services for around 20,000 workers in the zone and patients from neighboring areas.
