The role of youth in fostering solidarity and traditional friendship was the main focus of a regional forum held in the southern province of Attapeu, Laos, on December 8.
Delegates from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia also discussed the role of young people in developing skills and reducing poverty, and making the Development Triangle a tourism area for youth.
They signed a joint statement, showing their commitment to strengthening youth cooperation in various areas and developing young human resources through technology transfer and training.
They agreed to increase cooperation between their young businesses, encourage youth to get involved in regional projects, boost sport and cultural exchanges, and carry out voluntary activities.
They said they are aware of the importance of the establishment of the Development Triangle between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in developing traditional solidarity and fine relations among the three countries.
Representatives of the youth confirmed that they would positively support and actively take part in activities to develop the triangle and carry out the joint statement successfully.
