Design of Uncle Ho memorial area in Ca Mau Province.
The memorial area covers about 60,000 square meters, of which 12,000 square meters will be converted into a relic site dedicated to Uncle Ho in Ca Mau city’s Cultural Park.
President Nguyen Minh Triet said that this restoration project was of special significance as it would educate younger generations about Vietnam’s national traditions.
Beside the existing works such as a fishpond and nha san (a house on stilts), the memorial site will include a screening room, exhibition hall and a reception area.
The memorial area is being funded at a cost of over VND30 billion (US$1.4 million) by the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).
