VGP - The Southern province of Ca Mau is implementing two big projects on responding to climate change and sea level rise, with total investment of nearly US$3 million, coming from non-refundable aid of many non-governmental organizations from the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Japan and others.
The US$1.3-million project on assessing the vulnerability and capacity of responding to climate change in community is implemented in seven coastal communes in districts of Tran Van Thoi, U Minh, Phu Tan…
The other project with total investment of US$1.6-million is on community-based climate change response. It is being carried out six communes in the two districts of Nam Can and Ngoc Hien.
Ca Mau has so far this year received total US$7.5 million from 11 non-governmental organizations to respond to climate change. Some US$3.4 million will be disbursed this year.
