PANO - HCM City Transport Co-operative Union, on July 3 rd , put 8 green buses, including 2 specially designed for the disabled, into operation.
These buses, using compressed natural gas (CNG), are operated on route from An Suong bus station to Forestry-Agriculture University (coded 104).
The two special buses have low floor and wide and the floor could be adjusted to be leveled with the sidewalk, so that the disabled could find it easy to get on/off with their wheelchairs thanks to automatic ladder.
HCM City set a target to have around 5 to 10 percent of buses with exclusive design for the disabled by 2020.
