Nhan Dan - Bulgarian National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Tsetska Tsacheva concluded her official visit to Vietnam on April 17.
Chairwoman Tsacheva and her delegation were warmly received by Vietnamese leaders during their stay in the country.
Vietnamese leaders affirmed that the visit marks an important milestone for strengthening the solid traditional friendship between the two countries and will boost bilateral co-operation, especially economic ties.
Chairwoman Tsacheva expressed her good sentiments towards the land and people of Vietnam and highly praised their achievements in building and developing the country.
She also affirmed that Vietnam and Bulgaria have numerous opportunities to promote co-operation, particularly in agriculture, energy, construction, goods exchanges, food production, agricultural products, health, education, security and defence.
NA Chairwoman Tsacheva and Vietnamese NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung signed a memoradum of understanding (MoU), laying a legal foundation for promoting co-operation between the two national legislative bodies.
Documents for co-operation were also signed between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Bulgarian State Commission on Information Security, and between Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and Bulgaria’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Science.
The Bulgarian delegation paid a tribute to President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and visited his residence and workplace, as well as the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, UNESCO World Heritage site Ha Long Bay, and Ho Chi Minh City.
