NA Chairman: Vietnam hopes to boost ties with Bulgaria
Bulgarian NA Chairwoman Tsetska Tsacheva said this at a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi on April 16.
Chairwoman Tsacheva proposed boosting bilateral cooperation in energy, healthcare, agriculture, tourism and education while asking the two sides to sign a cooperation agreement on crime prevention and control in the near future.
PM Dung and Mrs Tsacheva underscored the need to support each other at international and regional forums and promote the exchange of visits by delegations at all levels to further strengthen the ties of friendship, solidarity, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the two nations.
PM Dung said that the positive developments in multifaceted bilateral cooperation have produced practical benefits for the development of both countries.
The two sides need to effectively carry out new cooperation projects focused on promoting economic and trade links to raise the level of two-way trade in the years to come. Both sides should also enhance cooperation in education, science, technology, tourism and culture, said Mr Dung.
PM Dung asked Bulgaria to maintain and increase its ODA funding for Vietnam, adding that Vietnam is willing to help Bulgaria boost cooperation with other ASEAN countries.
Chairwoman Tsacheva said her delegation’s visit to Vietnam aims to affirm Bulgaria’s policy of strengthening all-round bilateral cooperation with a view to bringing Vietnam-Bulgaria relations to a higher level.
