Bridge construction to link Binh Phuoc Province with Canmbodia

The southern province of Binh Phuoc on March 29 broke ground at Hoang Dieu border crossing for the construction of the Song Mang Bridge, to link the province to the eastern province of Mondulkiri in Cambodia.

The bridge will be 27.3 meters in length, 12 meters in width and will be built at a cost of VND11.94 billion. It is expected to be complete within 170 days.

The Song Mang Bridge project marks the solidarity and friendship between the Vietnamese and Cambodian people. It will play an important role in transportation, trade and cultural exchange, as well as promote socio-economic development in Binh Phuoc and Mondulkiri Provinces.

In a related news, Major General Nguyen Duy Ngo was invited to break ground for the new road ‘Sentimental Attachment for Soldiers 72’ from the crossroad on the National Highway 9 to the Ba Tri crossroad in Duc Co District in the highland province of Gia Lai.

To be built at a total cost of VND8.7 billion, the road will be 2.2 kilometres in length and 4 metres in width.

The road will help to improve the face of the rural highland province of Gia Lai, promoting both trade and socio-economic growth.
