-- Three schoolgirls, all aged 14, of Phan Chu Trinh junior high school in Dak Mil district in the central highlands province of Dak Nong drowned on Saturday. Before the death, the schoolgirls left a note in class that says they would want to die together.

-- Belgium pledges to distribute a satellite worth EUR63 to Vietnam, aiming to help the country better manage natural resources.

-- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called on Vietnam to fight against tuberculosis (TB) since the country is among 20 countries heavily burdened by TB in the world.

-- 27-year-old Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai from Quang Nam central province who has turned into an old woman overnight, is surprised at free treatment provided by China Medical University in Taiwan.


-- The first round the TV dance show “bước nhảy hoàn vũ”, the local version of “Dancing with the stars”, will kick off tonight at Quan Ngua stadium based in Hanoi and will be broadcast live on VTV3 at 9:30pm.

-- The week-long annual book festival to be held in Le Van Tam Park in District 1 on March 19 has attracted many international publishers and distributors including Penguin, MacMillan, Cambridge, Pearson, Learning, and Oxford.
