Hanoi Publishing House will release two books about Hanoi in English and in French written by chief editor Huu Ngoc, a Vietnamese cultural researcher, to mark the 1,000 anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi next year, Ha Noi Moi newspaper reports.
The English book, Hanoi, Who Are You? is a set of 10 small books written by Huu Ngoc and American writer cum photographer Lady Boston.
The book will introduce ancient houses and cultural relics such as pagodas, temples and festivals, and the food of Hanoi.
The French book, Portrait of Traditional Hanoi-Dragon City of 1,000 years, was written in 1997 and will be republished with many new supplements.
The books are expected to hit the shelves early next year.
