(VOV) - A delegation from the Lao province of Savannakhet, led by Governor Souphanh Keomixay, is currently visiting Binh Phuoc province in Vietnam.
During talks with Binh Phuoc provincial leaders on April 24, the two sides briefed each other on their socio-economic development and agreed to cooperate in a number of fields in the 2012-2015 period.
The two provinces will continue exchanging visits to strengthen their bilateral ties of friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.
They agreed to increase cooperation and mutual assistance in culture, education, agriculture and other socio-economic development projects. Binh Phuoc pledged to provide continued training for students from Savannakhet studying at its secondary schools.
Both sides will exchange information about investments, incentive policies and trade and tourism development while jointly organizing trade and tourism fairs for their businesses to establish long-term partnerships. They also agreed to boost people-to-people diplomacy and cultural and sports exchanges .
Savannakhet also said it will create the best conditions for Binh Phuoc businesses to implement socio-economic development projects in the province.
