More than 500 martial artists from 75 groups originating in 30 foreign countries and territories, together with 35 local teams, are set to participate in the International traditional martial art festival, taking place at Qui Nhon city's stadium in the central province of Binh Dinh from August 1 to 4.
The festival will feature many martial art performances of Vietnamese and foreigners.
One of the highlights is a martial art beauty contest for female martial artists aged 18 to 25.
The central province of Binh Dinh is well-known as the birthplace of many of the country’s martial arts. The festival is a good chance to promote traditional martial arts.
The local authorities also hope to attract visitors with local specialty foods and tours to famous destinations such as King Quang Trung’s Museum, the thousand-year-old Cham towers and Ghenh Rang Beach.
