Deputy PM Truong Vinh Trong cuts the ribbon to inaugurate a bridge in Vinh Thanh commune
Nhan Dan - A ceremony to inaugurate two schools and six bridges in rural areas of Ben Tre province was held on August 15 in the presence of Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister, Truong Vinh Trong.
The six concrete bridges were built in Thanh Phu, Binh Dai, Cho Lach, Giong Trom and Mo Cay districts. The two schools include a kindergarten and a primary school located in Mo Cay Bac district.
These constructions are funded by Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) with a capital of VND 12.3 billion (US$640,000).
Vietinbank also built 11 houses for needy households in Ben Tre province and will provide the province with VND 20 billion to build more schools and bridges in 2011.
The newly built bridges and schools are expected to improve traffic and develop education in rural and remote areas of Ben Tre province.
