Two Belgian experts, an epidemiologist and hepatologist, have assisted doctors from Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital No. 2 in finding out the cause of the strange skin disease in Quang Ngai province’s Ba To district.
The doctors also discussed with the district Health Preventive Medicine centre and Healthcare Centre the development of the disease and treatment being used.
In Ba Dien commune, they took rice samples for testing and studied the environment and water in the hope of discovering the cause of the disease.
