Bach Mai Hospital has worked with the Nam Dinh Provincial Police and given free health check-ups and medicines to children in Thanh An (Saint An’s) Orphanage in Bui Chu Parish, on the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1st.
The Orphanage is now home to 100 orphans, ranging from a few months old to 13 years old, including 30 who were born with disabilities.
The doctors provided free health check-ups and medicines to 30 teachers in the orphanage, 40 staff of the Xuan Truong District Party Committee as well as the District People’s Committee in Nam Dinh Province.
Doctor Nguyen Quoc Anh, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, said this was a milestone in that it was the first time that Roman Catholic children in orphanages benefited from the Hospital’s humanitarian activities.
