This year’s Lim Festival on Friday and Saturday in Tien Du District in the northern province of Bac Ninh will feature the largest number of people wearing quan ho (love duets) costumes when performing this traditional Vietnamese verse.

Organizers are predicting 2,000 performers singing quan ho, an intangible world cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO.

According to the organizers, the center of the festival in Noi Due and Lien Bao communes and Lim town is Lim Hill which will be arranged with both festive and ceremonial activities.

Activities will reflect past Lim festivals along with numerous folk games like swinging, wrestling, blind-man’s buff and clay pot breaking. Meanwhile, ceremonial activities are set to be convened in Nguyen Dinh Dien Duke’s tomb and Hong An Pagoda.
