The prices for this rice crop, which fluctuate from VND4,700-7,500 per kilogram, are increasing, thanks to the State plan for buying rice for temporary stockpiles.
The Bac Lieu Food Company bought 7,000 tonnes of rice for temporary storage, bringing the total of this year’s rice volume that has been purchased so far to more than 38,000 tonnes. The company also exported over 7,300 tonnes of rice worth more than US$3 million in value.
