The Austrian ambassador to Vietnam, Georg Heindl; Federal Minister of Economy, Family and Youth, Reinhold Mitterlehner; Minister of Health, Alois Stöger; Second President of the National Council, Fritz Neugebauer; Executive Director of Austrian National Bank, Peter Zöllner and a number of other high-ranking officials are accompanying the president on his visit.
President Fischer was born in 1938, in Graz, Austria. He earned a doctorate degree in law from the University of Vienna in 1961 and was elected president of Austria in 2004.
Heinz Fischer was re-elected as Austrian president for a second and final term on April 25, 2010 and he will continue to serve until 2016.
