PANO - Under the program to support the poor on occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Defence Economic Unit 337’s delegation paid Tet visits and presented its gifts, worth VND50million, to local beneficiaries.
Namely, the delegates offered gifts to the Vietnamese Heroic Mother, Ho Thi Miet, and people in Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province.
Besides, they also provided more than 2,000 tons of rice and other necessaries to the local residents to welcome the upcoming Tet holidays. The money was sponsored by troops in the Military Zone 4 and the Unit 337.
Previously, many delegations of army units, under the Ministry of National Defence, visited and offered their gifts to needy people across the country, aiming to bring to them a warm Tet vacation.
