An exhibition of 300 antiquities objects from several Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, opened at the Museum of Vietnamese History on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, District 1, HCMC on April 24th. The exhibition features similarity and specialties of each country in Southeast Asia.

The displayed antiquities including a gold crown of gold (Vietnam), a wooden Buddha statue and black glazed pottery (Laos), the God Ganesa (Cambodia), the figure in praying position, and terra cotta jars (Malaysia), stone God statue and embossment (Indonesia), brown drum and wooden Buddha statue (Myanmar) or the God Shiva riding cow Nandin (Thailand) attract attention of the public and researchers
Most of displayed antiquities are worshiping objects and household appliances featuring daily life of residents in the Southeast Asia region, such as silver bowl in the 19 th century of Cambodia, brown glazed pottery vase in the 15 th century, chicken-shaped metal box from the 19 th century, or special jewellery, swords and bayonets from Malaysia.
The exhibition will last until December.
