One hundred universities and colleges from the U.S will attend the annual U.S. Higher Education Fair on Wednesday and Thursday next week and October in Hanoi, Danang and HCMC, the fair’s organizer said.

According to the Institute of International Education (IIE) Vietnam, the fair’s organizer, the events will be an opportunity for schools to connect with Vietnamese students. Students and parents will have a chance to meet face to face with official representatives of U.S. universities and colleges to learn about the application process, admission tests and financial aid opportunities from official, reliable and legitimate sources of information.

The institute said that Vietnam is the strongest market in South East Asia of international students coming to U.S. colleges and universities to study. It has quoted figures from the Open Doors 2010 annual report, which rated Vietnam ninth in the world for the number of students - with 13,112 people studying in higher education in the U.S - and ranks second for community colleges.

Students can visit the fair at the Melia Hanoi Hotel, 44B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hanoi, Danang University, 91A Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street and at the Equatorial Hotel, 242 Tran Binh Trong, District 5, HCMC.
