Nhan Dan Online – Two world renowned African musicians, Kareyce Fotso and Aly Keita, are set to bring an unique world music night to the Hanoi stage at L’ Espace Cultural Centre on March 22.
The show is part of a wide range of cultural activities organised in Vietnam to mark International Francophone Day (March 20).
Kareyce Fotso, winner of the 2009 Visas pour la creation and runner-up at the 2009 International Francophone Festival, combines traditional instruments with the guitar to perform blues, jazz and soul music.
Aly Keïta, a master of the balafon (a wooden instrument of West Africa), has performed with famous artists from all over the world such as Omar Sosa, Joe Zawinul, and Magid Bekkas. His first solo album, Akwaba Inisene, entered in the Top 20 of the European World Music Charts.
The tickets are available at L’Espace Cultural Centre, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi. The musicians will take to the stage at 8pm on Thursday 22 March.
