(VOV) - The eighth Asia Media Summit (AMS 8) opened in Hanoi on May 24 in the presence of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, VOV General Director Vu Van Hien, AIBD Director Yang Binyuan, ABU Secretary General Javad Mottaghi, and more than 400 international and 200 domestic delegates.
The Summit is taking place in Vietnam for the first time with Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) playing the host, in coordination with the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development.
Addressing the opening ceremony, VOV General Director Vu Van Hien said the AMS, initiated by the AIBD, has become one of the most important events in the field of radio and television broadcasting.
VOV is very honored to host the eighth summit and expects that it will provide a platform for radio and television organizations in the region to share experiences in developing the industry in the era of digital technology.
