PANO – Seven outstanding businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Chan Shin Vietnam Company, Doosan Vina Company, Posco E&C Construction Company, Hansoll Vina Company, Thanh Cong Garment and Textile–Investment–Trade joint–stock Company, were presented with the Corporate Social Responsibility Award (CSR) at an award ceremony jointly held Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment and Korea’s Ministry of Knowledge Economy on October 26th in Hanoi.
PANO – Seven outstanding businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Chan Shin Vietnam Company, Doosan Vina Company, Posco E&C Construction Company, Hansoll Vina Company, Thanh Cong Garment and Textile–Investment–Trade joint–stock Company, were presented with the Corporate Social Responsibility Award (CSR) at an award ceremony jointly held Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment and Korea’s Ministry of Knowledge Economy on October 26 th in Hanoi.
The award, launched by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency for Korean businesses with investments in Vietnam, is part of activities to celebrate the 19 th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties (1992). Since 1992, the relations of the two countries in politics, culture, economics and education have improved considerably. Economically, the RoK is one of the top investors in Vietnam, with total investment of over US$23 billion in 3,000 projects.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Award aims to honour Korean enterprises investing in Vietnam, as well as to promote the relations of the two countries. The award drew the support of Korean enterprises nationwide in heavy industry, garments and textiles, shoes, insurance and so on.
Do Nhat Hoang, Director of the Department of Foreign Investment, under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, said that Vietnam highly appreciates and encourages Korean enterprises to make contributions to society to improve working environment for labours.
