Large crowds of both local and international visitors took part in Sa Pa in the Cloud Festival on the first day of a four-day holiday celebrating the country’s Reunification Day on April 30 and May 1.

The festival featured music performances and folk games by ethnic minorities like Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay and Xa Pho living in Sa Pa tourism town in northwest Vietnam’s Lao Cai province.
Nguyen Thanh Bao, a tourist hailing from Da Nang central city, said: “I’ve heard about Sa Pa many times and now I have a chance to explore the cold climate, majestic mountains, and diversified cultures of ethnic groups here.”
Due to the beautiful weather with outdoor temperature ranging between 25 and 27 degree Celsius, many visitors are fairly excited to walk and pose for photos around the ancient town and Xuan Vien Lake, two of must-visit destinations in Sa Pa, and to enjoy native cuisine as well.
