Nhan Dan – Thirty-nine outstanding students from across the country who attained marks over 29/30 on the 2010 national university entrance exams were honoured at a ceremony in Hanoi on September 19.
Out of the 39 honourees, one student got a perfect score of 30/30, eight achieved 29.5/30 and other 30 others earned 29/30.
Addressing the ceremony, Ha Thi Khiet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilisation, praised the laureates, especially those who have overcome difficulties to achieve excellent academic results. She stressed that the Party and State always pays attention to and creates favourable conditions for members of the young generation to pursue their studies.
The event was held jointly by the Vietnam Students' Association Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, Pico Joint Stock company and the Vietnam Students Assistance and Development Centre.
