Nhan Dan - Awards for the contest marking the 100 year milestone (June 5, 1911) when President Ho Chi Minh left Vietnam to seek ways to save the country were given out by the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee on September 1.
A total of 37 prizes, including two first prizes, seven second, 14 third and 14 consolation prizes, were presented to individuals and collectives at the ceremony.
The contest, which was officially launched on February 3, aimed to raise people's awareness of the great importance of Uncle Ho's ideology and his lifelong contributions to the cause of national salvation.
Seven months after its launch, the organisers had received more than 24,000 contest entries from Gia Lai province and many other cities and provinces across the country including Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong. Dong Nai, Phu Yen, Hai Phong, Tien Giang, and Dong Thap.
