Nhan Dan – More than 120 men’s and women’s teams from high schools and districts across the country will take part in the Cool Air Cup 2012 National U17 Basketball Tournament.
This year’s competition, the largest to be held so far, will take place in three stages. The first qualifying rounds have been held in 30 provinces and cities from January to mid-May and the regional rounds are scheduled to take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City from May 24 to June 21. The final stage will be held in Da Nang from June 25-30.
The tournamet aims to promote and develop the sport of basketball among young people.
The Cool Air Cup 2012 National U17 Basketball Tournament is being jointly organised by the Vietnam Basketball Federation, Young Pioneers Newspaper and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
