More than 2,000 people joined a walk at the Nguyen Luong Bang Avenue, Ho Chi Minh City, on April 23rd to raise money for needy pupils and students led by the City’s Study Encouragement Association.
With many slogans and banners, the Study Encouragement Associations of the City and 24 districts and about 2,000 students from universities and colleges in the City walked along the 3km Nguyen Luong Bang Avenue.
On this occasion, 50 scholarships worth VND 1 million each were offered to needy students.
Besides, all collected money from the program will be granted to pupils and students in the City.
In the upcoming time, the Association will continue to maintain, promote and propagandise its practical movements and activities to seriously implement the Politburo’s Decree 11-CT/TW and the PM- signed Decree 02/2008/CT-TTg on enhancing the Party’s role in encouraging study and talented people and building up a study society.
After 5 years, the walk-program has raised VND 3 billion for the City’s study-promotion fund.
