PANO – Over 200 photo, documents and exhibits about the Vietnam National Assembly are being showcased at an exhibition, entitled “Vietnam National Assembly on the path of renewal and integration process” at Vietnam Revolution Museum from August 24th.
The exhibits reflect the establishment and development of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. They include many exhibits and documents that are published for the first time such as: constitution of the then Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV) at the first National Assembly, held at Hanoi Opera House on March 2nd 1946 and the ID card that the then provisional President of DRV identified as “President Ho Chi Minh” as the member of the first NA. The exhibited documents also identify the function of NA to decide the most important issues of the country such as electing senior State leaders at the Eighth National Assembly in 1987, adopting the resolution of the 11th NA on April 2nd 2007 on important projects in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province and resolution of the 12th National Assembly on November 8th 2010 on plans for socio-economic development 2011.
On display are also photos about the integration of Vietnam National Assembly into the world and region, like, the resolution to admit Vietnam as member of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Organisation (AIPO) in 1995, the minutes and signatures of the head delegates from AIPO members to admit Vietnam to the organisation. The exhibition also introduces exhibits and documents about the elections of the 13th NA and People’s Council and the first session of the 13th NA.
The event will last until September 30th.
