(VOV) - 20 young Vietnamese people working for Canadian Government agencies or companies were honoured at a ceremony, held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada on May 26.
Vietnamese-Hungarian girl wins outstanding student award Addressing the event, Vietnam Ambassador Le Sy Vuong said the embassy wishes to be a bridge between young intellectuals, especially those living in Canada and others back home.
He emphasized that the Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseperated part of Vietnam and important resources of the nation.
On this occasion, Ambassador Vuong congratulated Dr Chu Ba on being appointed Associate Professor of Mathematics at Calerton University, in Ottawa.
Currently, there are about 2,000 Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Canada.
