To prepare for this event, VietKings has collected data and invited researchers and historians of Hanoi to participate in choosing 100 records for Hanoi.
VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam Record Book Centre (VietKings) has stated it will release 100 records of Thang Long – Hanoi capital on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary in 2010.
The centre has received 300 suggestions for records in the fields of culture, history, nature, science, art, politics, military and diplomacy of the capital city. However, VietKings will choose 100 outstanding historical and cultural records to announce on the 1000th great anniversary and update some new records following the capital’s enlargement last August.
It is said that among the 100 records for Hanoi, there will be records like the man who opened the first silver casting enterprise in Vietnam, the most unique vowing ceremony in Vietnam and the creator of coracle in Vietnam.
The record announcement ceremony is scheduled for September 2010 at the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), Hanoi.
