Viet Nam condemns deadly bomb attack in Bulgaria

HA NOI — Viet Nam condemns any forms of terrorism that targets innocent civilians, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi said yesterday in response to a bomb attack in Bulgaria on Thursday.

"We convey our deepest condolences to the governments of Israel, Bulgaria and family members of the attack victims," Nghi said. "Criminals causing the attack need to be strictly punished."

According to Reuters, the attack, initiated by a suicide bomber, killed seven people, including five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver. — VNS

Delegates at the 11th National Party Congress yesterday voted to elect members for the 11th Party Central Committee, which will consist of 175 official and 25 alternate members.
As many as 175 official and 25 alternate members will be elected to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) for the 11th tenure.
